Landscape Design in Dubai
Outdoor living, pools, decking and softscape designed for Dubai's climate.
Landscape Design
Dubai is tough on gardens. Summer runs past 45 degrees, the soil is mostly sand, and water costs money you do not want to waste. A landscape that looks perfect in a rendering can turn brown by August if nobody planned for the heat. That gap, between a pretty picture and a garden that actually survives, is where most projects fall apart. HFF Interiors closes it. We design and build outdoor spaces for how Dubai behaves, not how a brochure pretends it does.
We run the whole job under one roof. Concept, hard landscaping, planting, irrigation, lighting, and pools. One team, one point of contact, from the first sketch to the day you sit outside and use the space.

What a landscape company should actually do
Good landscaping is not just plants. It is drainage, levels, materials, shade, and how people move through the space. Get those right and the greenery looks after itself. Get them wrong and you are pulling up pavers within a year. So we start with the bones before anyone talks about flowers.
Here is what we cover:
- Hardscapes: driveways, paved walkways, decks, seating walls, and fire pits. The structure everything else sits on.
- Softscape and planting: lawns, gardens, hedges, and green screening for privacy and shade.
- Water features: swimming pools, ponds, fountains, and the irrigation lines that keep it all alive.
- Outdoor living: patios, pergolas, majlis areas, and outdoor kitchens built for entertaining.
Most clients want a mix. A pool with a shaded deck. A front garden that reads well from the street and a back garden built for weekends. We plan the full plot so the pieces work together instead of fighting each other for space and water.
The plan is where the money is made or wasted. Move a pool two metres and you change the sun, the plumbing, and the view from the kitchen window. We think through those trade-offs on paper first, when a change costs nothing, rather than on site when it costs a fortune. That is what a real landscape company brings that a gardener with a van does not.
Who we work with
Villas and new villas come first and most often. A new villa handover is the right moment to plan the garden, before you pour concrete you will regret later. But homes are only part of it.
Hotels and hospitality venues need landscapes that handle heavy foot traffic and still look sharp at 7am. Corporate offices and towers want entrances, podium gardens, and rooftop terraces that say something about the brand. Property ventures and developers come to us for show-home gardens and community landscaping that helps units sell faster. Skyscraper podiums bring their own headaches: weight limits, wind exposure, and waterproofing over occupied floors below. We have handled all of it. If it is outdoors and it is in Dubai, it is our job.
Built for Dubai's climate
This is the part cheaper contractors skip, and it is why their gardens fail. Plant the wrong species and you are replacing them every season, throwing good money after bad.
We build plant palettes around what thrives here. Bougainvillea, frangipani, ficus, date palms, and desert-adapted grasses that hold through the worst of summer. We pair them with drip irrigation, so water reaches the roots instead of evaporating into the air. Where shade matters, we design it in from the start, with pergolas, trees, and built structures, rather than bolting it on afterward.
Lighting gets the same thought. Low-voltage fixtures, placed to make the space usable after dark, which in Dubai is when most people actually want to be outside. Done well, the garden works as hard at night as it does at noon.
We also plan for water the smart way. Sandy soil drains fast and holds little, so we build up the beds, add proper substrate, and zone the irrigation by plant type. Grass, shrubs, and trees all drink differently. Watering them on one timer wastes money and drowns half the garden. Small decisions like these are the difference between a landscape that costs you every month and one that mostly looks after itself.
How we work
We keep the process simple. First a site visit and a free consultation, so we see the plot and understand how you want to live in it. Then concept drawings and 3D renderings, so you can walk through the space on screen before we build anything real. Then construction, run by our own crew with materials we stand behind. Then handover, clean and on schedule.
You get one point of contact the whole way through. No chasing three separate subcontractors who each blame the other two when something slips. That single line of accountability is the reason projects with us finish on time and look the way the drawings promised.
Approvals and permits
Villa communities and townhouses often need Dubai Municipality approvals and landscape NOCs before any work starts. We handle those for you. DM approvals, community NOCs, and the paperwork most people would rather never see. It is built into the service, not an extra charge you discover halfway through the job.
Maintenance after handover
A garden is not a one-time build. It grows, and in this climate it needs steady care to stay healthy. We offer monthly maintenance packages after handover: pruning, irrigation checks, seasonal planting, and pool servicing. So the space you paid for still looks that way two summers from now, not just on the day we hand over the keys.
Why hire HFF Interiors
Plenty of landscape contractors in Dubai will quote a low number and cut corners you cannot see until the first summer exposes them. We are not the cheapest, and we do not pretend to be. What you get instead is design that respects the climate, construction that lasts, and one team accountable for all of it.
We also handle interiors, fit-outs, and renovations, so when a project runs from indoors to out, it stays with the same firm start to finish. That continuity shows up in the finished result, in the details that usually get lost between contractors.
